Harry Smith
Harry A. Smith, 76, Newnan, died Sept. 23, 2003. He was born Jan. 18. 1927, the son of Oscar and Laura Davis Smith. He was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church and a member of the Sylvan Lodge.
Services were at the Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. John Riley and the Rev. Searcy Jackson officiating. Interment was at the church cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Deariso Smith, Newnan; a daughter, Paula Griffith, Lawrenceville; a brother, S. O. Smith, Dublin, Ga.; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; three nephews; two great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or Macedonia Baptist Church.

Tom McKeehan
Thomas “Tommy” David McKeehan, 77, Senoia, died Sept. 25, 2003. He was born Nov. 17, 1925 in LaGrange, Ga., the son of the late David Albany and Mary Savanah Wilson McKeehan. In 1948 he was the first male to enroll in LaGrange College. He served in the United States Navy for three years and then spent the next 40 years in theatre, in both Miami and New York. He worked in all aspects of
the theatre including acting, directing, and building sets. He moved to Senoia 14 years ago and was considered to be Senoia’s “one man cultural center.” He was retired as an antiques dealer.
Services were at the Unity Baptist Church, LaGrange, with the Rev. Bobby Robinson, and the Rev. Kevin McKoy officiating. Interment was at Hillview Annex Cemetery, LaGrange.
Survivors include a brother, Jack and Linda L. McKeehan, Corinth, Ga.; sisters, Arietta Bailey, Warner Robbins, Alverda Mims, Canton, Ga., Laverne Yarborough, LaGrange, Mary Jane Proctor, Jacksonville, Fla., Nira Lena Martin, Locust Grove, Ga. and Robbie J. and John S. Thomas, Stone Mountain, Ga.; and an aunt, Ruby Mayhew, Lawrenceville, Ga.

Eulene Slaton
Eulene Slaton, 78, Grantville, died Sept. 26, 2003. She was born Nov. 10,1924, the daughter of the late Will and Loretta Flowers Slaton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Hayes, sons Ronnie Hayes and Tommy Hayes, brothers Lawrence Slaton, Lyndsay Slaton and Travis Slaton, and sisters, Jewell Harris, Lorene Slaton, Effie Patterson and Myrtice McElwayne.
Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home with the Rev. David Arrington, the Rev. Archie Slaton, and the Rev. D. L. Moody officiating. Interment was at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery, Tyrone, Ga.
Survivors include sons, Ricky Slaton, and Eddie Hayes, both of Newnan, Jerry Hines, Grantville; daughters, Gloria Blair, Newnan, and Teresa Lewis, Grantville; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and special friend, Tara Evans, Newnan.

Joyce Billingsley
Joyce Williamson Billingsley, 61, Sharpsburg, died Sept. 26, 2003. She was born May 26, 1942 in Anniston, Ala. She was in instructor at the Beauty College of America.
Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Tom Daughtery, and the Rev. Steve Clark officiating. Interment was at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Newnan.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Charles Frank Billingsley Sr., Sharpsburg; sons, Charles F. “Chuck” and Lisa Billingsley Jr., McDonough, and Randy Billingsley, Atlanta; a sister, Linda Toth, Newnan; and grandchildren Blake Billingsley, Brock Billingsley, and Brooke Billingsley.

Richard Kirkpatrick Sr.
Richard Dennis Kirkpatrick Sr., 54, Sharpsburg, died Sept. 28, 2003. He was born Aug. 20, 1949 in Tacoma, Wash., the son of Robert A. and Miriam McIntosh Kirkpatrick. He worked in sales for a paper company.
Services were at Cokes Chapel United Methodist Church with Father Dan Fleming officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Griffiths Kirkpatrick, Sharpsburg, formerly of Ocean County, N. J.; sons, Richard Dennis and Sylvia Kirkpatrick Jr., Parisppany, N. J., and expected grandchild, and Jonathan Craig Kirkpatrick, Myrtle Beach, S. C.; a brother, Robert A. and Beryl Kirkpatrick III, Jackson, N. J.; and an uncle, Jonathan Kirkpatrick, Jacksonville, Fla.
