Adidas hosts local tennis tourney this weekend In the midst of uncertainty about the very direction of the Peachtree City Tennis Center itself, one of the facility's sponsors is hosting a major college tournament at the site this weekend. The fourth annual Adidas Invitational is scheduled to feature some of the best NCAA teams in the nation, including the current national champion Florida along with Duke, Tennessee and Notre Dame, according to tennis center officials. Doubles matches began last night and run through Sunday. Singles matches will be played today and tomorrow. Admission is free. Adidas' overall sponsorship agreement with the tennis center is one of the more controversial points faced this week by the Development Authority of Peachtree City, in the wake of authority member Scott Bradshaw's resignation Tuesday and subsequent allegations of improper management.
