Robert E. Hanley Jr.
Robert E. Hanley Jr., 91, Fayetteville, formerly of Belleville, Ill. Died Sept. 15, 2004. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Virginia Sculley Hanley Oct. 23, 2000, his parents, Robert Emmett and Blanche Gilligan Hanley Sr., and a sister, Helen Marlow. He was born April 3, 1913 in East St. Louis, Ill. He was a retired manager of the Mobil Oil Terminal in East St. Louis, Ill. Interment was at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, Ill. Survivors include children, Bob Hanley, Peggy and Jim Wickman, and Patty Berg, all of Belleville, Ill, Mary Ann and Bob Weakley, Kentwood, Mich., Jane Keller, Peachtree City, Dan and Jeanie Hanley, Fayetteville, Tim and Vickie Hanley, Las Vegas, Nev. Lincoln G. Weech
The Rev. Lincoln G. Weech, 73, Fayetteville, died Sept. 19, 2004. He was born April 1, 1931 in Nassau, Bahamas, son of Charles Kenneth and Zadeline Pearce Weech. He was a minister for over 50 years and established churches in Bahamas, Florida, and Georgia, and ministered in Texas, Alabama, and Indiana. He was a member of Griffin First Assembly of God. Services were at the Griffin First Assembly of God with the Rev. Randy Valimont officiating. Interment was at Bonaventure Cemetery, Savannah, Ga. Survivors include his wife, Barbara J. Weech, Fayetteville; a son, Stephen G. Weech, Birmingham, Ala.; daughters, Cheryl M. Brendel, Buford, Ga., and Melanie Y. Lapinsky, Fayetteville; sons-in-law, Dr. Ron Brendel, Buford, Ga., and David J. Lapinsky, Fayetteville; and grandchildren, Jonathan Lapinsky, Bethany Lapinsky, Anna Marie Brendel, Maxey Weech, and Riley Weech. Conner-Westbury Funeral home, Griffin, was in charge.
Frances E. Doonan
Frances E. “Fran” Doonan, 67, Fayetteville, died Sept. 19, 2004. She was born June 5, 1937 in Black Rock, Ark. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Chris Perkins officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include a son, Trey and Jennifer Doonan, Sharpsburg; daughters, Kim Aucoin, Morgan City, La., and Stacey and Mike Paredes, Tallahassee, Fla.; seven grandchildren; a brother, James Estes, Popularville, Miss.; and sisters Betty Dolby, Bessemer, Ala., and Nell Burke, Austin, Texas. Jewell Preston Nestlehutt
Jewell Preston Nestlehutt, 84, Douglasville, died Sept. 20, 2004. She was born Nov. 14, 1919 in Troup County, Ga. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with John Bunn officiating. Interment was at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Douglasville. Survivors include sons, David and Gwen Nestlehutt, Douglasville, and Michael and Edna Nestlehutt,, Canton, Ga.; daughters, Barbara Jean and Don Murdock, Fairburn, and Marie Angeline, Las Vegas, Nev.; brothers, Charles Preston, Fayetteville, and Harold Preston, Milledgeville; a sister, Barbara Ann Brown, Fayetteville; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. William W. Spearman Jr.
William W. Spearman Jr., 72, Fayetteville, died Sept. 20, 2004. He was born June 19, 1932 in Charlotte, N. C. Services were at Christ Church at Whitewater, Fayetteville, with Minister Kenny White officiating. Interment was at College Park Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Brown Spearman, Fayetteville; sons, Reid Spearman, Fayetteville, Ben and Christina Spearman, Greenville, N.C., and Bill and Keiko Spearman, Yokosuka, Japan; a daughter, Mary and Tommie Duffy, Newnan; his mother, Mary Spearman, Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Morris and Pattie Spearman, Charlotte, N. Stephen Alan Neely
Stephen Alan “Steve” Neely, 50, Jonesboro, died Sept. 20, 2004. He was born March 24, 1954 in Fulton County. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Stacey Thomas, and the Rev. Tom Pilgrim officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include his mother, Hazel D. Neely, Jonesboro, a brother, Kenneth “Doc” Neely, Jonesboro; a sister, Marianne and Mike White, State College, Pa.; nephews, Brandon White, Matthew White, and Chad White; and a niece, Ashleigh White. Charles William Shreve
Charles William “Charlie” Shreve, 79, Fayetteville, died Sept. 22, 2004. He was born Nov. 18, 1924 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Ky. He had worked for 30 years for Mullins Brothers Paving & Asphalt, East Point. He loved sports, especially baseball. He was involved in Boy Scouts, as well as coaching youth baseball and basketball. He was an active member of Southside Church of God and Chapel Hill Harvester Church. He was currently a member of Jonesboro First Baptist Church. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Dr. Dean Haun and Larry Sasser officiating. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Shreve, Fayetteville; sons, Merv and Margie Shreve, Carrollton, and Steven and Tammy Shreve, Covington; grandchildren, Tiffany and Joshua Shreve; step-grandchildren, Brandon and Candy Boyd, Joseph Kee and Crissy Kee; a great-granddaughter, Payton Boyd; a brother, David and Judy Shreve, Louisville, Ky.; and sisters, Mae Graf, Gladys Bonkowski, and Minnie and Bill Perry, all of Louisville, Ky. Edwin Elder Magee
Edwin Elder Magee, 85, East Point, died Sept. 24, 2004. He was born Aug. 1, 1919 in Atlanta, son of the late Remus Barney and Annie Ola Buran Magee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Elizabeth Smith Magee, whom he married in June, 1948. She died in August, 2004. Services were at Providence Baptist Church, Rico, Ga., with the Rev. Darwin Caldwell and the Rev. Kenneth Keene officiating. Interment was at Rico Community Cemetery. Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth Magee and Mark Charles Refuss; grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Refuss and William Magee Refuss, Fayetteville; a sister, Elizabeth and Jack Lester, Atlanta; brothers-in-law, Bob and Mary Smith, Palmetto, and Hugh and Mary Frances Smith, Peachtree City; a sister-in-law, Neta Smith, widow of Charlie Magee; 11 nephews and nieces; nine great nephews and nieces; a great-nephew and niece; and cousins, Wilburn and Beverley Buran, Richmond, Va., and Lucy and Fred Cornette, Danville, Va.

Margaret S. Pearce
Margaret S. Pearce, 84, Peachtree City, died Sept. 24, 2004. She was born May 2, 1920 in Dothan, Ala. She was a former resident of Ozark and Huntsville, Ala., where her husband practiced optometry, and Hudson, Fla., while in service with Word of Life ministry. She has resided in Peachtree City for the past two years. She served as a missionary to Mombassa, Kenya, Africa, and with the Lighthouse for Christ Eye Centre. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Dr. Dale Welden, Covenant Presbyterian Church, Fayetteville, officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include a son, Pat and Linda Pearce, Peachtree City; grandchildren, Mike Pearce, Atlanta, Heather Pearce, Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Ashley Pearce, Peachtree City. Carl J.
