Councilman to challenge mayor in Senoia election

There will be at least one new face on the Senoia City Council in January.

Councilman Bob Hannah decided Wednesday to face off against Mayor Dianne Cleveland in the Nov. 4 election for Mayor.

With Hannah choosing to run for mayor, one of three council candidates will take his seat on the council in January. Hannah's and Pat Tunnell's seat are up for election in November.

The council candidates who qualified this week are:

Pat Tunnell, current councilman and school resource officer.

Larry Owens, 53, retired.

Anthony Miller,50, retired.

The two candidates with the highest vote totals will be sworn into office in January.

The election is Nov. 4 and polls are open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
