Wednesday, September 10, 2003 Lake Windsong homes available for purchase Four new homes are currently available for purchase in Lake Windsong, the upscale 285-acre residential community on Dogwood Trail in Tyrone. Designed to blend the elegance of the homes with the natural beauty of the rolling, wooded countryside, Lake Windsong will be a community of 167 custom homes on one-acre homesites. Prices start in the upper $300,000s, and eight homes are already sold or under contract. Joel H. Cowan Jr. of Lake Windsong Development Company, LLC has assembled an elite group of custom home builders, including Richard Bearden of Regency Homes Inc., Eddie Lanham of Jordan Homes and Properties, Kenny Johnson of Kenny Johnson Homes, and Stephen Rossetti of Rossetti & Rossetti Inc. Residents of Lake Windsong have access to cutting edge internet and neighborhood intranet features in their homes. According to Cowan, the basic package in homes offers services from the beginning, including updated wiring, a higher degree of integration, and a home automation package. A focal point of the community’s rustic theme will be The Lodge, which will be located on the 18-acre lake and which will be reminiscent of a mountain lodge with a cedar and stone exterior and featuring timber frame construction. Besides serving as a community gathering place, The Lodge will offer a loft with teleworking facilities for residents wanting to utilize an “office away from the office”.
