PruGeorgia hosts picnic at The Avenue

Prudential Georgia Realty's Peachtree City office located in The Avenue shopping plaza in Fayette County recently held an event to thank the public for using its real estate services. "Picnic at The Avenue" was held during the tax-free shopping day of Saturday, August 2.

Realtors grilled out hot dogs and provided an entire picnic lunch for anyone wishing to stop by that day. Free drawings were held every hour, with 24 prizes donated by other Avenue merchants. Some 140 people registered for the drawing and many more enjoyed the picnic treats.

Prudential Georgia Realty agents in Peachtree City wanted to do something to give back to the community. They had won a $500 prize in April in a company production contest. The 50+ Realtors wanted to turn this money into something that could be enjoyed by the entire community since it was Fayette County citizens that had essentially helped them win the contest.

"Our sales team wanted to do something fun to thank the community," explained the office's managing broker Kathy Murphy. "The picnic idea was the most popular suggestion."

Food left over from the picnic was donated to the group home of the Fayette Council on Battered Women.
