Chaney Anniversary
Peggy and Royce Chaney, formerly of Hapeville, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 3, 2003, with a reception at Fayetteville First Baptist Church hosted by their children and grandchildren. The Chaneys met when Royce was a WWII pilot training at Dobbins Naval Air Station. The Chaneys have three children, Darryl, Dale and Doe, who all live in Fayetteville. All are members of Fayetteville First Baptist.
Schofield-Jones
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Schofield of Fayetteville announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kristen Gail, to Travis Gaines Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jones, also of Fayetteville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Moore of Knoxville, Tenn., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Schofield of Riverdale. She is a 1996 graduate of Sandy Creek High School and a 2000 graduate of the University of Tennessee where she received a B.S. degree in communications. She is employed by BBDO Advertising in Atlanta.
The future groom is the grandson of Mrs. Stella Gaines Grubbs and the late Roy Grubbs of Anderson, S.C., and Mrs. Connie Brown Jones and the late Claude O. Jones also of Anderson. He is a 1995 graduate of Sandy Creek High School and a 2000 graduate of Auburn University where he received a B.S. degree in finance. He is employed by Chick-Fil-A.
The wedding will be Oct. 25, 2003, at Lowndes Grove Plantation in Charleston, S.C.
Following a Caribbean honeymoon cruise, the couple will reside in Atlanta.
