Quick-Turner reunion this Saturday By CAROLYN CARY ccary@TheCitizenNews.com Descendants of Eli Quick and Drucilla Turner are gathering this Saturday, Sept. 6 a the New Salem Baptist Church, Griffin. They lived in Fayette County in the early and mid-1800's and descendants are in contiguous counties. The event will be begin at 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to bring a covered dish and memorabilia to share. Directions to the church, at 113 New Salem Road are: go south from Fayetteville, travel down Hwy. 92 South, to just over the Flint River and take Vaughn Road to your right.
