Wedding and Anniversary Announcements

Lee-Croft

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lee of Fayetteville announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Shanna Lee, to Brandon Croft, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rodger Croft, also of Fayetteville.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Bill McFarland and Margaret McFarland of Fayetteville, and the late Ollon Lee and Florence Lee of Cullman, Ala. She is a 1999 graduate of Fayette County High School and a cum laude graduate of the State University of West Georgia, where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Royce Still of Blackville, S.C. , and the late Edward Croft and Gretchen Croft Rodgers, also of Blackville. A 1999 graduate of Fayette County High School, he attended the State University of West Georgia where he majored in business management. He currently is employed by Raptis Homes and is pursuing a career as a builder.
The wedding will be Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, at 3 p.m., at Woolsey Baptist Church.
Following a honeymoon in Puerto Rico, the couple will reside in Grantville.

Huddleston
50th anniversary

Fletcher and Joyce Hall Huddleston were married in Fayette County 50 years go, on Aug. 17, 1953. Tying the knot was Gert Tinsley, in Aberdeen, now Peachtree City.
Fletcher retired from Carolina Freight in 1989 with 38 years of service. Though they lived in Riverdale and West End their first few years, in 1960 they built a home on Georgia Avenue, and still reside there. Golf now takes up their days, and Joyce enjoys painting in oils.
They had two children, Clay, who died in 1999 at the age of 44, and Rita Brand, who lives in Fayetteville. Two grandchildren visit daily, Nichalos Doughty, 20, and Michelle Doughty, thirteen.
The two were honored by their family with dinner in Fayetteville.
