Cowan-Collins
Mr. and Mrs. Neal Cowan of Jefferson announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Carla Cowan, to Dusty Collins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Collins of Fayetteville.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grady Eskew of Jefferson, and the late Heidt Cowan and Louise Cowan Hill of Griffin. She is the great-granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Carruth of Jefferson. A 1994 graduate of Pickens High School, she is employed by Dental One Associates in Fayetteville.
The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ogie Collins of Atlanta, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Colie Knotts, also of Atlanta. A 1994 graduate of Fayette County High School, he is employed by Gene Evans Ford in Union City.
The wedding will be Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003, at 4 p.m., at Galilee Christian Church in Jefferson. The Rev. Bruce L. Quiggle will conduct the ceremony.
Fuqua-Roman
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald M. Fuqua and Mr. and Mrs. Julio Soto of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their children, Meredith A. Fuqua and Jamie Roman.
The bride-to-be is a 1998 graduate of McIntosh High School. She was graduated from Georgia Baptist College of Nursing of Mercer University with a bachelor of science in nursing and currently works as an R.N. at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.
The groom-elect is a 1994 graduate of McIntosh High School. Formerly a search and rescue swimmer with the U.S. Navy in San Diego, Calif., he presently is employed by Outback Steakhouse, Inc.,and manages Roy’s Restaurant in Buckhead.
The wedding will be Oct. 25, 2003, at First Baptist Church, Peachtree City. Following a honeymoon, the couple will reside in Ellenwood.
