Brayson Homes opens pre-sales in Pinehurst at Heron Bay

Brayson Homes has opened pre-sales at Pinehurst, one of the neighborhoods in Heron Bay Golf & Country Club, Minerva Properties' 1,150-acre resort styled, master planned community in Henry and Spalding counties.

Located on Ga. Highway 155 approximately five miles from Exit 216 of Interstate 75 and just 30 minutes southeast of downtown Atlanta, Heron Bay is situated along the eastern shoreline of the 1,100-acre Cole Reservoir.

Pinehurst at Heron Bay, which is in the Henry County portion of the development, is directly across from the community's amenities area.

Pinehurst, which will have a total of 129 homes with prices starting in the $140,000s, represents Brayson Homes' first venture in the Henry County market. Brandie Corbin, Brayson Homes' on-site agent, said there have already been two pre-sales in the neighborhood.

Brayson Homes will initially offer eight different floor plans in the neighborhood, including some of its signature ranch designs as well as some new two-story designs. Bonus rooms are available in the ranch homes (per plan), and a large number of basement homesites are available.

The three- and four-bedroom homes feature low maintenance Hardiplank on the exteriors with brick and stone accents as options. The homes have two-car garages, and the interiors contain many special features, including soaring vaulted ceilings, fireplaces with a marble surround, and hardwood floors.

More information about the homes in Pinehurst can be obtained by calling the sales center at 678-610-5500.

Pinehurst is located in the Luella school district, and the neighborhood has streetlights, sidewalks and underground utilities.

Residents of Pinehurst will have access to Heron Bay's almost unprecedented amenities starting with the lake with its two lakefront parks and opportunities for fishing, boating and other outdoor activities. The 18-hole championship golf club, which will be designed, developed and managed by Canongate Golf Clubs, is expected to open in fall of 2004 and will have a clubhouse with a pro shop and grill, a driving range, and a practice range.

Community life will center around the 5,000 sq. ft. lodge at Heron Bay, which will have a great room, meeting rooms, fitness center, library, and children's play room, and which will be available for community gatherings, homeowner association meetings, and other events. A verandah and arbor with an outdoor fireplace will overlook the community's aquatic center, which will include a junior olympic-sized swimming pool, zero entry pool with splash fountain, water slide and other water features. Other amenities will include lighted tennis courts, children's play park, sports field, and miles of nature trails which are adjacent to the Cubihatcha Outdoor Center, a county nature trail system and preserve. An additional swim and tennis center is planned for the future.

Gwinnett-based Brayson Homes, which was founded in 1977, has sold over 7,000 new homes during its 25-year history. The company is active in Gwinnett, DeKalb, Cobb, South Fulton, Clayton, Coweta, Newton, Paulding and Henry County markets and will soon be building in Spalding and Douglas counties.
