Wedding Announcements
Herrin-Henig
Jennifer Elizabeth Herrin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Jarrett Herrin of Peachtree City, and John Alec Henig III, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Alec Henig Jr. of Montgomery, Ala., were married Saturday, April 26, 2003, at Peachtree City United Methodist Church. Pastor Chuck Hodges conducted the ceremony.
The bride is the granddaughter of Joyce Hartwell of Peachtree City and the late John Hartwell, and Lillian Herrin Shank of Savannah.
The groom is the grandson of Eunice Hayes Henig of Montgomery, Ala. and the late John Alec Henig Sr., and LeRoy Plez Pollard of Florence, Ala. and the late Edna Thigpen Pollard.
Kristen Smith Peterson of Atlanta served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Brittny Ann Armstrong of Montgomery, Ala.; Lori Kathryn Day of Pelham, Ala.; Jennifer Lynn Henig of Montgomery, sister of the groom; Cecily Joyce Trawick of Atlanta; and Renee Marco Wymer of Atlanta. Peyton Nicole Woodward served as the flower girl.
The groom’s best man was his father, John Alec Henig Jr. Groomsmen were Joseph Breckenridge Brannen of Jacksonville, Fla.; James Raymond Dickens Jr. of Montgomery; Britton Pollard Henig of Montgomery, brother of the groom; Heath Van Henig of Birmingham, Ala., cousin of the groom; James Tyler Herrin of Peachtree City, brother of the bride; and Joe David Thrasher of Montgomery.
A reception at the Whitewater Country Club in Fayetteville followed the ceremony. Following a honeymoon trip, the couple now resides in Smyrna.
Rickards-McGill
Mr. and Mrs. Allen E. Rickards of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathy Louise, to Shannon Ray McGill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ron McGill of Nashville, Tenn.
The bride-to-be is a 1997 graduate of McIntosh High School in Peachtree City and a 1992 graduate of the State University of West Georgia where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology. She currently is employed by Catalina Marketing Research Solutions.
The groom-elect, a 1993 graduate of Campbell High School in Smyrna, attended Georgia Tech where he played baseball. He currently is employed by Cutting Sewing Room Equipment Company.
The wedding will be Sept. 1, 2003, at Peachtree City United Methodist Church. The couple will reside in Smyrna.
Tucker-Allen
Eddy Tucker and Ms. Jill Ewing (Conort) announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Lauren Tucker to Ryan Eugene Allen, son of Danny Allen and Ms. Teresa Allen.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Ms. Janelle Ewing and the late Jimmy Ewing of Jonesboro. She is a 1999 graduate of McIntosh High School in Peachtree City and is employed at Ici Paris Day Spa as a hair designer.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Gene Cassell and the late Mrs. Johnnie Cassell of Fayetteville. He is a 1997 graduate of Fayette County High School and is employed by Delta Airlines.
The couple will wed Aug. 8, 2003 in McDonough.
