A preliminary plat for a 35-home subdivision at the intersection of Redwine and Price Roads in Fayetteville has been approved by the city's Planning and Zoning Commission.

The Legend at Redwine subdivision will consist of single-family homes on 39.88 acres on the site which is zoned for residential use. The subdivision backs up to several commercial properties that have frontage along Ga. Highway 85 south.

The buffer between the subdivision and the commercial parcels will vary from parcel to parcel depending on the amount of buffer already in place on the commercial property, said Jahnee Prince, director of the city's planning and zoning department.

The subdivision will be accessed off Redwine Road and the developer will install a deceleration lane to serve the project.
