Wedding Announcements

Banks-Jacobi

Ms. Bonnie Banks of Fayetteville and Fred Banks, also of Fayetteville, announce the engagement of their daughter, April Suzanne Banks, to Tobias Johnson Jacobi, son of Howard Jacobi and the late Mrs. Deborah Jacobi of Riverdale.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Russell B. Banks of Fayetteville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy F. Melton of Griffin. She is a 1997 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology and a 1999 graduate with a master of science degree. She currently is employed as the assistant athletic trainer at Western Carolina University and resides in Webster, N.C.
The future groom is the grandson of Paul Jacobi and the late Mrs. Ruth Jacobi of Vero Beach, Fla., and the late Ralph Williams and Mrs. Louise Williams of Marion, Ala. He is a 2000 graduate of Cumberland University with a bachelor of science degree in physical education. He currently is employed as the head strength and conditioning coach at Western Carolina University, and resides in Sylva, N.C.
The wedding will be May 22, 2004, at Riverdale First Baptist Church, with a reception following in the church fellowship hall.

Bates-Deckelbaum

Mr. and Mrs. William Bates of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Brenda, to Geoffrey Deckelbaum, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Deckelbaum of Hollywood, Fla.
The bride-to-be is a 1994 graduate of McIntosh High School and a 1998 graduate of the University of Richmond, where she received a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She currently is a CPA and financial analyst at Coca-Cola Enterprises in Atlanta.
The groom-elect is a 1994 graduate of Pine Crest High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and a 1998 graduate of Emory University where he received a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing. He currently is an assistant vice president in the Real Estate Group for Bank of America.
The wedding will be Aug. 31, 2003, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Atlanta.
Following a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple will reside in Atlanta.

Jones-Bednarowski

Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Jones of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter Shannon Kimberly Jones, to Paul Lewis Bednarowski, son of Paul and Lois Bednarowski, of Fairhope, Ala.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of McIntosh High School, and holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Georgia and a masters degree from Georgia State University. She currently is a teacher at Central Middle School in Carrollton and a cheerleading coach at the State University of West Georgia.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Fairhope High School in Fairhope, Ala. and holds a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Auburn University. He currently is employed by Ferguson Enterprises in Marietta, Ga.
The wedding will be July 26, 2003, at The Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church on Peachtree Road in Atlanta.

Winans-Fuller

Doug and Irene Winans of Crosby, Texas, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Winans, to Brent Fuller, son of Rick and Patsy Fuller of Fayetteville.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Crosby High School in Crosby and the University of Houston where she received a bachelor of arts degree in political science. She is a member of Delta Zeta Sorority and the Harris County Women’s Political Caucus. For the past two years, she has worked as a legislative coordinator for Integrated Electrical Services, a Fortune 1000 Company, in Houston, Texas.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Roswell High School and Syracuse University where he received a bachelor of science degree in broadcast journalism. He currently is the city hall reporter for KTRH radio in Houston.
The wedding will be Aug. 23, 2003, at the First Lutheran Church in Baytown, Texas.
Following a honeymoon in Cozumel, Mexico, the couple will reside in the Houston area.
