CCSU announces dates for orientations

The Office of Admissions has announced orientation dates for July and August at Clayton College & State University. All accepted new students should consult their acceptance materials for information and instructions on making a reservation for an orientation session. Reservations must be made by mail or in person at the Office of Student Life, room D226 of the Clayton State Student Center.

Orientation is not mandatory, but recommended for several reasons: 1) students receive a tour and general orientation to the Clayton State campus; 2) students are able to meet with their advisors and construct a course plan; 3) students may register and pay for classes; 4) optional parent/spouse orientation is offered at all New Student Sessions. All of these activities can take place on the same day, making the registration process simple and more convenient.

Orientation date options printed in the acceptance packet include: Fall Semester, New Student Sessions (all new students may choose to attend these sessions) Saturday, July 19, 2003, 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; Saturday, August 2, 2003, 9 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.; Friday, August 8, 2003, 9 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.

Fall Semester, Non-traditional (individuals who graduated high school more than five years ago) and Transfer student sessions Wednesday, July 23, 5:30-9:30 p.m.; Tuesday, Aug. 5, 5:30-9:30 p.m.; Wednesday, Aug. 13, 5:30 -9:30 p.m.
