Residents may apply for disaster loans Fulton County residents whose homes have been damaged by recent severe weather are eligible to apply for low-interest loans from the Disaster Assistance Program of the U.S. Small Business Administration. The Atlanta-Fulton County Emergency Management Agency was notified that Fulton County is eligible for the loans because it is adjacent to DeKalb County, which was recently approved for SBA aid. Residents and business owners whose property was damaged by recent severe weather should contact the SBA at 3785 Clairmont Road in Decatur, 770-216-4926. More information is available at www.sba.gov. The SBA's Disaster Assistance Program offers financial assistance to those attempting to rebuild their homes and businesses in the aftermath of disasters.In most cases, loans are only available for the repair of primary residences and small businesses not covered by insurance.
