PruGeorgia celebrates 10th year of conference

For 10 years, Prudential Atlanta/Georgia Realty has been honoring its top real estate agents with an annual three-day, motivational and educational retreat at the Hilton Sandestin Resort in Destin, Fla. Known as the Masters Conference, the company put extra sizzle into this year's event to mark the conference's 10-year anniversary, celebrating Oscars style, with "10 Years in a Starring Role."

Part educational, part networking, and loaded with fun-filled activities, more than 100 Masters level Prudential Atlanta/Georgia Realty sales associates attended the beach retreat held May 19-21.

Attendees participated in numerous activities, including a panel discussion with guests/Masters agents Linda and John Monroe and their assistant, Carissa McConkey. The Monroe Team is one of the top two teams in the company and currently the number one team for most homes closed annually.

Numerous guest speakers were on hand to educate and motivate including Earl Lee, president of Prudential Real Estate Affiliates (PREA); Pat Flood, chairman and CEO of HomeBanc Mortgage; Todd Duncan, sales trainer and author of High Trust Selling; top Prudential Realtor Lynn Hodges from New Hampshire; and Rick Stanley, Elvis Presley's step-brother and a motivational speaker who has appeared across the U.S., Europe, and on numerous TV news shows.

"The Masters Conference is really about celebrating and assisting our top associates to be the best they can be," explained company senior vice president Toni McGowan. "And this year's event was definitely our best ever. We pulled out all the stops to make it spectacular."

Prudential Atlanta/Georgia Realty agents seemed to agree. Comments from their post-event surveys included "World class! Nothing but the best!" and "Upbeat, motivational and lots of fun!"

The highlight of the conference was a red carpet Hollywood-style evening gala. Guests dressed as their favorite stars or in their best Hollywood attire. President and CEO Dan Forsman and Senior Vice President Toni McGowan congratulated the Masters with a special anniversary cake and company founder, Ed Erbesfield, led the champagne toast.

Dan Forsman and the Masters associates were presented with a special plaque commemorating 10 years of loyalty from Ray Waters, Assistant General Manager of the Hilton.

Sponsors of the Masters Conference included HomeBanc Mortgage, the law firm of McCalla, Raymer, Padrick, Cobb, Nichols & Clark, and Arrow Exterminators.
