Wednesday, July 9, 2003 Lake Windsong breaks ground for amenities facility Construction of The Lodge clubhouse at Lake Windsong, a new lake community of custom homes from the mid $300's near Peachtree City, is underway. Lake Windsong builders gathered recently with Joel Cowan, Jr. of Lake Windsong Development Company LLC, and Executive Vice President and Managing Broker Janeece Swainey and Builder Representatives Olivia Marquez and Jan Spell, all of the Home Source Realtors who are marketing the neighborhood, to celebrate the ground-breaking of Lake Windsong's impressive clubhouse. The elite group of Fayette area custom home builders comprising the builder team at the 167-acre homesite community includes Richard Bearden of Regency Homes, Inc., Eddie Lanham of Jordan Homes and Properties, Kenny Johnson of Kenny Johnson Homes, and Stephen Rossetti of Rossetti & Rossetti, Inc. The Lodge with cedar and stone exterior and timber frame construction will be the focal point of Lake Windsong's amenity area. Features include a covered porch overlooking the community's 18 acre lake, a dramatic interior including a large open room with huge stone fireplace, and a loft which eventually will be available to homeowners wishing to take advantage of the technology and comfortable setting of this "office away from the office." Also at The Lodge will be a swimming pool, tennis court, playground and boat dock. A 14-acre nature area adjacent to Line Creek with unpaved walking paths, a picnic shelter and secluded benches will enhance outdoor enjoyment. Lake Windsong also will have neighborhood sidewalks and bike paths. The community offers high-speed Internet and neighborhood intranet enabling homeowners to enjoy the convenience of contact with office or with Lake Windsong neighbors. There are 63 homesites on one acre lots in the first phase now open. Lake Windsong offers a beautiful secluded setting, yet convenient access to I-85, Hartsfield Airport, and Atlanta, as well as the shopping, dining and entertainment facilities in Peachtree City. To reach Lake Windsong from Peachtree City, take Ga. Highway 74 north to left on Dogwood Trail, cross Senoia Road and continue on Dogwood Trail to Lake Windsong on the left.
