About the Fayette County Board of Realtors

The Fayette County Board of Realtors was established in 1969 as a non-profit trade association under a charter from the National Association of Realtors. It is a member-run association governed by NAR-approved Bylaws and a Board of Directors.

The association has grown from 9 original members to today's figure of 635 which consists of Realtor and Affiliate members. The Board provides "the tools and services that maximize the actively involved and contributing members' productivity and profitability." Members benefit from free continuing education classes, leadership program, membership events, networking opportunities, committee service and RPAC influence.

Board leadership includes President Joanie Keller; President-elect Terri Kellerman; VP of Administration & Finance Marie Craft; VP of Professional Development Terri Hornfeck; VP of Governmental & Community Affairs Cheri Scranage; and VP of Member Services Sue Monson.

The Board also has a strong presence in community events and sponsors the annual Noel November, A Celebration of Trees & Wreaths benefiting local charities in Fayette County. Last year's event raised over $30,000 and is scheduled again for Nov. 15 of this year at the Barn in Tyrone.

"Realtor" is a trademark term and refers only to those real estate licensees who have joined a Board of Realtors agreeing to abide by the Code of Ethics and to arbitrate or mediate as the need arises.
