Toastmasters begin meeting in PTC next month Peachtree City Evening Toastmasters will meet the first and third Monday evenings of each month, beginning July 21. The first evening Toastmasters meeting will be at 7 p.m. at Ashley Glen Assisted Living/Alzheimer's Care, 441 Prime Point in Peachtree City. Toastmasters is a nonprofit communication and leadership program designed to enhance listening, speaking and thinking ability by actually doing them.It was started by Dr. Ralph Smedley in 1924 while helping a group of young men learn to speak at a YMCA in California.Toastmasters learn to stand up to be seen, speak up to be heard and sit down to be appreciated.
