PTC police looking into 15 vehicles that were entered overnight

Peachtree City police are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for a rash of entering auto cases last week.

On the morning of June 17, nine residents discovered their autos had been entered overnight, according to police reports. Nothing was missing from most of the vehicles, but in one case the owner's manual was taken and a flashlight and three CDs were taken from another vehicle, reports indicated.

A total of 15 vehicles were entered, reports stated.

At least one of the vehicles was unlocked at the time, reports indicated. Another vehicle was damaged while yet another had the contents of its glove compartment thrown inside the car and driveway, police said.

Police indicated that the suspects will also face criminal trespassing charges.

Four of the residences hit were on Journeys End and another two were on Battery Way, according to reports. The other three incidents were reported a residences on Bluegrass Trace, Presidio Park and Wysteria Court.

Police are also offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons responsible for numerous golf cart thefts that have been reported.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Peachtree City Police Department's criminal investigations division at 770-631-2510. Callers may remain anonymous.
