New Bible School unveiled

A bold, new creative adventure is soon coming off the drawing board for children participants in a community-wide Vacation Bible School to be held in the City Park of Senoia located on Seavy Street.

This "backyard-style"event is being co-sponsored by the Church of God of Prophecy and the Senoia United Methodist Church, with leadership from both respective congregations.

The dates for the innovative VBS are July 13 through July 16, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each day with a concluding cookout closing session on Wednesday for the entire familyof participants andinterested persons from the congregations and community as well.

The Vacation Bible School, utilizing the spacious confines of the park as well as the Freeman-Sasser Building is for children who are rising kindergarteners through twisting fifth graders. This year's biblical theme is "Lighthouse Kids: Shining God's Light."

Using the imagery of lighthouses that shine bright lights out over the waters to help guide and warn ships on the seas, this Vacation Bible School will teach children that they can be a lighthouse for others by caring and shining God's light in all that they do. By accepting, believing, and living with the power of God and Jesus, community children from Senoia and surrounding areaswill come to know that they can become a lighthouse shining God's light. For questions concerning the details of these exciting, inspirational and fun-filled July days, you may contact the Rev. Steve Davidson at (770) 599-3347.
