Senoia rape investigation underway For the first time in many people's memory, the eastern Coweta town of Senoia has been touched by the tragic crime of rape. Coweta County Sheriff's Investigator Stephen Crook said the department has one suspect in the crime that occurred last Wednesday afternoon in Senoia. Crook said the victim is a juvenile and said she was raped by five men. "We expect to make more arrests soon," Crook said. Senoia Police Chief turned over the investigation of the case to the Sheriff's Department last week after they received the call. "We're just short on manpower. I'm the only one that has been to school for this sort of crime," said Chief Olitta Bennett. Crook and Sheriff Mike Yeager were unavailable for further comment Thursday. John Thompson
