Wedding Announcements

Thompson-Beverly

Leigh Anna Thompson and Justin Beverly were married May 3, 2003, at Brooks Christian Church in Brooks. The marriage was performed by Pastor Mark Baldwin.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Thompson of Fayetteville, is the granddaughter of Mrs. Lena Thompson and the late Ralph Thompson of Culberson, N.C., and Mrs. Leona Hedrick and the late Plez Hedrick of Suit, N.C. She was graduated from Mercer School of Medicine May 31, 2003, and has begun her residency program in internal medicine at the University of Utah.
The groom, son of Mrs. Elliot Marsh of Brooks and Cal Beverly of Peachtree City, is the maternal grandson of Mrs. Wilma Beverly and the late J.B. Beverly of Moultrie, and the paternal grandson of the late W.N. Beverly of Eufaula, Ala. and the late Doris Coleman of Hampton. He was graduated from Mercer School of Medicine May 30, 1998, and is employed at Southern Regional Hospital in Riverdale as an emergency room pediatrician.
Mrs. Elizabeth Ruckwardt and Mrs. Melissa Barron, friends of the bride, served as attendants. Dr. Beverly’s best man was his father, Cal Beverly. Ushers were Dr. Bill Shilling, Stephen Thompson II and Michael Drinkwater.
After a wedding trip to Europe, the couple will have dual residences in Macon, Ga., and Park City, Utah.

Hayes-Leonard

Greg and Linda Hayes of Newnan announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Melissa Jacqueline Hayes, to Jonathan Michael Leonard, son of Michael and Donna Leonard of Fayetteville.
The bride-to-be was graduated from East Coweta High School in 1999 and will complete her degree requirements in business and education at the State University of West Georgia in May, 2004.
The groom-elect is a 1999 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2001 graduate of Clayton College and State University, where he received a degree in avionics. He will complete his degree requirements in technology management in May, 2004. He presently is employed by Sigvaris, Inc., where he works in the department of information technology.
The wedding will be July 12, 2003, at Unity Baptist Church in Newnan.
Following a honeymoon in Aruba, the couple will reside in Fayetteville.

Bailey-Leister

Mr. and Mrs. Pat Murphy of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Carie Lynn Bailey, to Eric Allen Leister, son of Franklin Henry Leister III of Apopka, Fla., and Mrs. Jeanne Antaya Seip of Mexico City.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Fayette County High School and the State University of West Georgia where she was a cheerleader for two years and a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She presently is employed by The Tom James Company.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Fla., and the University of Central Florida where he lettered in football for four years as a wide receiver. He presently is employed by Smith Barney.
The wedding will be July 12, 2003, at Saint James United Methodist Church in Atlanta.
Following a honeymoon in St. Martin, the couple will reside in Atlanta.

Iblings-Ragsdale

Mary Ann Iblings of Keithville, La. and Jeramy Ragsdale of Fayetteville were united in marriage Saturday, May 3, 2003, at Summer Grove Baptist Church in Shreveport, La. Dr. Rod Masteller conducted the 6 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Iblings of Keithville, La., and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bud Iblings and Mrs. Nadine Jones. She is a graduate of Samford University and presently is a labor and delivery nurse at Wellstar Cobb Health System.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Ragsdale of Fayetteville, and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harris Ragsdale of East Point and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hagist of Fayetteville. He also is a graduate of Samford University and is a builder with Hatcher Homes, Inc.
The couple honeymooned in Tahiti and presently reside in Smyrna.

Holahan-Tyner

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Holahan and Ms. Susan Holahan of Peachtree City announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kelly E. Holahan, to Scott G. Tyner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Tyner, also of Peachtree City.
The bride-to-be is a 1998 graduate of McIntosh High School and presently is a nursing student.
The groom-elect is a 1997 graduate of McIntosh High School and presently is a business student and manager of the Wyndham Hotel.
The wedding will be June 28, 2003, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City, followed by a reception at Whitewater Country Club in Fayetteville.
