Joyce Monroe Couch


Joyce Monroe Couch, 63, Peachtree City, died June 15, 2003. She was born Aug. 13, 1939 in Cedartown, Ga. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merrell Couch, and a daughter, Angelia Couch. Services were at Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Jack Bryant officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include a son, Merrell L. Couch Jr., Sharpsburg; daughters, Patricia Couch, Peachtree City, Mary Lynn Pickelsimer, Murfreesboro, Tenn., Sharon Van DeVander, Chattanooga, Tenn., and Berta LaVerne Eskew, Turin; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald Lee Monroe, Jacksonville, Fla., and Anthony Monroe, Buchanan, Ga.; and sisters, Shirley Prater, Buford, Ga., Elaine Richards, Virginia, and Tina Fuller, Carrollton, Ga. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral home, Peachtree City, was in charge.

Joel Chasse


Joel Chasse, 47, Fayetteville, died June 16, 2003. He was born Oct. 23, 1955 in St. Agatha, Maine. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. John Weber officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include a son, Wesley Joel Brandon Chasse; daughters, Victoria Chasse, Alexandra Chasse; brothers, Wilfred Chasse and Montfort Chasse; and sisters, Joan Nadeau, Jeane Cyr, and Anita Palletier. Memorial donations may be made to the Joel Chasse Memorial Fund at any Regions Bank location. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.

Virginia Johnson


Virginia Johnson, 85, Morrow, died June 19, 2003. She was born Dec. 1, 1917 in Fulton County. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with Kent Boyd officiating. Interment was at Bethany United Methodist Church cemetery. Survivors include a son, Tommy and Jane Johnson, McDonough; daughters, Susan Wheeler, Fayetteville, Miriam Jones, Forest Park, and Lynn and Curtis Benson, Griffin; brothers, Al Boyd, and Kent Boyd, both of Fairburn; a sister, Ethelyn Adams, Fayetteville; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.

Lucile S. Cronin


Lucile S. Cronin, 89, Peachtree City, died June 20, 2003. She was born May 25, 1914 in Cedar Vale, Kansas. Memorial services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Sandi Wilmesher officiating. Survivors include a niece, Jocelyn McKinney, Peachtree City; a great-nephew, Reid McKinney, New Concord, Ky.; and great-nieces, Kristi Maxwell, Peachtree City, and Karyl Wackerlin, Champaign, Ill. David Alan Moncus


David Alan Moncus, 48, Riverdale, Fayette County, died June 20, 2003. He was born Feb. 27, 1955 in Cobb County, Ga. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie N. Moncus. Services were at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Sam Matthews and the Rev. Gary Parrish officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include his father, Jim and Nelda Moncus; a sister, Sandra M. and Stephen Watson, Fayetteville; and nephews, Kevin Watson, and Brian Watson, both of Fayetteville. Lillian S. Wilson


Lillian S. Wilson, 86, Fayetteville, died June 23, 2003. She was born Feb. 23, 1917 in Lafayette, Ala. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack M. Wilson Sr. She was retired as a supervisor with the Department of Labor after 45 years of service. Graveside services will be Thursday, June 26, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, College Park, at 11 a.m. Survivors include a son, Jack M. and JoAnn Wilson, Fayetteville; grandsons, Christopher Wilson and Zachary Wilson, both of Fayetteville; brothers, Robert and Rebecca Sadler, Salem, Va., and Glenn Sadler, Lawrenceville; and a sister, Sandra and Rev.
