Mann celebrates 90th birthdayBy CAROLYN

Augusta Rogers Mann celebrated her 90th birthday recently in Fayette County. She was born on June 15, 1913, in Fulton County. Formerly a resident of Peachtree City, she has been a resident of Heritage of Peachtree City since 1996. She married a childhood sweetheart, Doyle D. Mann, in 1934 and he died in 1995. They had lived in south Fulton County for over 30 years before moving to Peachtree City. She graduated from Oglethorpe University with a bachelor of science degree, and the University of Georgia graduate school with a degree in administrative education and supervision. During her career, she served as the principal of Cliftondale and Laurel Hills in Atlanta. Her two children Cynthia Rogers of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Donna Wise of Peachtree City were on hand. Also present were her brother, Francis Rogers, and her sister, Alma Rogers. She has five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A reception was given with dozens of lifetime friends attending
