Fishing rodeo Sat. open to children Children are invited to participate in the fifth annual Fishing Rodeo at the Line Creek Nature Area in Peachtree City Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is for all children, especially those with disabilities. The dock to the pond is handicapped accessible. Fishing gear will be provided by the Southern Conservation Trust, which helps the Peachtree City Rotary Club put on the event. Refreshments will be provided and families are invited to attend. The pond is stocked with catfish annually by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. The Rotary Club built the dock several years ago, making it handicapped accessible so they could have a special event like the Fishing Rodeo. The Line Creek Nature Area is located off Ga. Highway 54 West. The area is accessible from a gravel road that begins at the parking lot of the Days Inn hotel.
