Wednesday, June 11, 2003 Scholarships to be announced at June 19 meeting Recipients of the Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia annual scholarships will be recognized at the association's June meeting, scheduled for Thursday, June 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center in Peachtree City. The $1,000 scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors from the Fayette, Spalding and Coweta County School Systems who are entering a college in the state of Georgia. Employees of businesses related to the building industry and/or students interested in field of study related to the industry receive preference for scholarships. The scholarship program, which is funded by the association's Scholarship House project, began 21 years ago, and the association has previously awarded 147 scholarships totaling $209,500. Sponsors of the meeting will be Bank of Georgia and BancMortgage Financial Corp. Reservations for the meeting can be made by calling the association office at 770-716-7109 or by fax at 770-716-7108. The deadline for reservations is Tuesday, June 17. The Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia serves builders in Fayette, Coweta, Spalding, Meriwether, Heard, Pike, Upson, and Lamar counties.
