Louise Elizabeth Boykin Adams


Louise Elizabeth Boykin Adams, 91, formerly of Tyrone, died May 29, 2003. She was born Feb. 6, 1912 in Screven, Ga. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Steve McCullough and Larry Winslett officiating. Interment was at Sharon Memorial Gardens, Tyrone. Survivors include a son, John McCosh, Georgetown, S. C.; daughters, Joann and John Schjonning, Martin, Ga., and Ruth and Erwin Gettys, Greensboro, Ga.; grandchildren, Warren Schjonning, Connie Driver, Gina Harris, Janet McGregor, Claire McCullough, Lynda Winslett, Doug Gettys,Mark McGregor, and Greg McCosh; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Parrot Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.


Allene B. Parson


Allene B. Parson, 92, Fayetteville, died May 30, 2002. She was born Dec. 25, 1910 in Forsyth, Ga. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Alfred Parson, in 1986, a son, James Leon Parson, in 1999, and a grandson, Terry Lee Parson, in 2002. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Howard Alexander and the Rev. Johnny Sparks officiating. Interment was at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Stockbridge, Ga. Survivors include sons, Raymond and Judy Parson, and Alfred Lester Parson, all of Fayetteville; a daughter-in-law, Patsy Parson, Lithonia; a brother, Junior Slaton, Forsyth County, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.

Mitzi Brook Moody


Mitzi Brook Moody, 69, Tyrone, died May 30, 2003. She was born June 15, 1933 in Fulton County. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bill Rollins officiating. Interment was at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Forest Park, Ga. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Harold Moody, Tyrone; children, DeLynn and Brian Akers, Tyrone, Garry and Gitte Moody, Covington, Pam and Ronnie Crowe, Fairburn, Val and Philip Anthony, College Park; a brother, Ralph Brook, Villa Rica; sisters, Judy Johnson, East Point, and Marjorie Fairchild, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Brooke and Billy Akins, Ashley Fraker, Cameron Fraker, Coy Moody, Luke Crowe, Carly Crowe, Candance Anthony, Alex Anthony, Hannah Anthony, and Abby Anthony; and a great-grandson, Austin Akins, Newnan; Memorial donations may be made to Christian City Convalescent Center, 7290 Lester Road, Union City, GA 30291. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.

Kenneth G. Smith


Kenneth G. Smith, 85, Peachtree City, died June 2, 2003. He was born Sept. 13, 1917 in Roundup, Mont. Rosary services were at the Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Father John Walsh officiating. Survivors include his wife, Miriam M. Smith; daughters, Julie Cunningham, Cumming, and Irene McGuigan, Woodstock; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marge Donnally, California. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 1101 Northchase Parkway, Suite 1, Marietta, GA 30067. Metro Crematory, Peachtree City, was in charge.

Ann Elizabeth Ashby


Ann Elizabeth Ashby, 77, Fayetteville, died June 2, 2003. She was born Dec. 9, 1925 in Florence, Ala., the daughter of Homer and Roxie Wesson. She was reared in Florence and attended North Alabama University, and had worked for Richway. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with interment at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Ashby, whom she had married on April 4, 1948. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Dr. Sam Matthews officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include her children, Linda and Dave Wilson, Fayetteville, and Bill and Lynda Ashby, Duluth; grandchildren, Jason and Kim Wilson, and Michael Ashby, all of Carrollton, and Dawn Ashby, Duluth; a great-grandchild, Brody Wilson; and a sister, Willie Mae and Orville Bailey, Lexington, Ala. Stuart Samuel Kennedy


Stuart Samuel Kennedy, 35, Atlanta, died June 4, 2003. He was born Jan. 31, 1968 in Jacksonville, Fla. He was an alumnus of the University of Georgia, a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, a board member for the adult literacy program Project Read, and was an Eagle Scout. He was a partner in the audit division of Ernst & Young, and was residing in Tokyo, Japan. He loved to travel and keenly studied history and religion. A memorial service was at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his parents, Bob and Ann Kennedy, Tyrone; a brother, Alan Kennedy, Atlanta, and a grandmother, Helen DuBose Kennedy, East Point, Ga. Memorial donations may be made to the J. M. Tull School of Accounting Excellence Fund, the Terry Business School at the University of Georgia, or the Kappa Deuteron Chapter, Phi Gamma Delta, University of Georgia. Robert S. Dawkins


Robert S. Dawkins, 62, Decatur, died June 4, 2003. He was born May 4, 1941 in Decatur, Ala. He was a member of the Glenwood Hills Masonic Lodge, #703, F&AM. Memorial services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Ed Nelson and the Rev. Mark Riley officiating. Survivors include his wife, Catherine Dawkins, Decatur; a sister, Linda Carol Dawkins, Conyers; mother-in-law, Louise Winkles, Tyrone; and a aunt, Mildred Joiner, Jacksonville, Fla. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Georgia Affiliate, One Corporate Square, Suite 127, Atlanta, GA 30329 or the Hopewell United Methodist Church, P.O. Caroline Eason Lee


Caroline Eason Lee, 57, Fayetteville, died June 7, 2003. She was born Sept. 20, 1945 in Savannah, Ga. She was preceded in death by her father, H. Bascom Eason, of Milan, Ga. Memorial services were held at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, Peachtree City, with the Rev. John M. Weber and the Rev. Miriam Beecher officiating. Interment was at the Gethsemane Section of Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Savannah, Ga. Survivors include a son, Stephen B. Lee, Buford, Ga.; her mother, Vera Cook Eason; a sister, Mary Anne and Eddie Evans, Eastman, Ga.; an aunt, Martha Rucker, Baconton, Ga.; and a nephew and niece, Thomas E. Evans, and Emily C. Evans, both of Eastman. Memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund, Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, P.O.
