FCCDV fundraiser June 21

The Fayette County Council on Domestic Violence will hold its first annual poker run and motorcycle raffle Saturday, June 21, at the Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater in Peachtree City.

The poker run entry fee is $15 per rider or $20 per bike (two riders) and includes lunch, a goody bag and a ticket for door prize drawings. Also, the top five poker hands receive prizes sponsored by Cycle City Power Sports.

The lucky raffle winner will receive a 2002 Triumph Bonneville motorcycle like the one used in the upcoming film "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines," to be released in July. Tickets for the drawing are $50 each and only 500 will be sold.

Registration is at 8 a.m. and the poker run is from 9 a.m.-noon. Pre-registration is also available at the FCCDV office on Bradford Square in Fayetteville, Prudential Georgia Realty at The Avenue in Peachtree City, and City Cycle Power Sports on Millard Farmer Industrial Boulevard in Newnan.

The motorcycle drawing will take place at 1 p.m. Proceeds from both events will do directly to the Fayette County Council on Domestic Violence.
