PTC man arrested for damaging sheriff's vehicles in CherokeeA Peachtree City man was arrested in Cherokee County north of Atlanta Saturday after he was observed pouring gasoline on several parked sheriff's vehicles, police said. Steven Edwards Jr., 18, formerly of Cherokee County, was detained by jail personnel at the scene, according to police. Edwards is charged with five counts of criminal interference with government property, one count of making terroristic threats and acts and five counts of first degree arson. Cherokee County investigators determined Edwards also damaged a Holly Springs patrol car earlier in the evening. Edwards had recently moved to Peachtree City, according to police. There is no indication of a possible motive for the incident from information police have released. John Munford
