Main Street Farmers' Market begins June 7The Main Street Farmers' Market is back this year by popular demand. The first of three scheduled farmers' markets will be held this Saturday from 9 a.m.noon around the gazebo at Stonewall Village. Fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, plants and homemade goodies are some of the items to be sold at the event. The public is invited to stop by the market area to browse or purchase homegrown or homemade items. Main Street is also still accepting applications for interested vendors. There is no fee associated with participation in the market, and applications are available at Fayetteville City Hall. This year's market promises a larger turnout of vendors, and also a greater selection of homegrown fruits, vegetables and plants. Other Main Street Farmers' Market's are scheduled for July 5 and Aug. 2. For further information about the market, or any other Main Street event, call Nancy Price at 770-461-6029.
