East Coweta High looking for uniform help

The East Coweta High School Marching Band has a documented history of excellence for Coweta County. They have participated in numerous New Year's bowl parades, including the 2002 Citrus Bowl in Orlando.

They have also participated in several competitions and placed at or near the top every time. They also participate in the annual Christmas parades for both Senoia and Newnan along with the Egleston Children's Christmas Parade.

The East Coweta Marching Indians are totally self-supporting. This means they receive no funding from the school or the Coweta County Board of Education. They provide for themselves by fundraisers, band member fees and generous donations.

The Marching Indians have been performing in the same uniforms for the past 10 years. A committee was formed and a new uniform has been chosen. The new uniform is sharp looking and will make the Marching Indians stand out and shine.

The East Coweta Marching Indians are asking for donations from the community to help defray the cost of the new uniforms. Each new uniform costs $250.00.

The band will need approximately 160 uniforms, bringing the total cost to approximately $40,000. Any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated, but certain donation amounts will result in different benefits.

A gold sponsor buys three uniforms for $750 and receives an ad placed on the back of the Marching Indians equipment trailer for one year, plus an ad placed on a banner at the concession stand at the Indians football stadium and a commemorative brick with your name or your company's name placed in the Memory Garden.

A silver sponsor buys two uniforms at $500 and receives the ad on the equipment trailer and the commemorative brick.

A bronze sponsor buys one uniform for $250 and receives the commemorative brick.

The East Coweta Marching Band has played a major role in the lives of many people over the years. Past Marching Indians can also help with the purchase of these band uniforms in the following ways:

$100 donation earns you an engraved brick in our memory garden or an old uniform jacket.

$150 donation earns you an engraved brick in our memory garden and an old uniform jacket.

$250 donation earns you an engraved brick in our memory garden and a complete uniform.

You can send donations to the East Coweta Marching Indians Band Boosters, P. O. Box 361, Sharpsburg, GA 30277. If you have any questions, please contact uniform coordinator Renee' Gordon at 770-599-1605.
