Langford writes 'History of Brooks' By CAROLYN CARY ccary@TheCitizenNews.com "The History of Brooks" has been written by Dan Langford Jr. and will be available for sale this weekend. Langford has long been associated with the Town of Brooks; his paternal grandfather, the late Hubert Langford, was a former mayor of the town and his paternal grandmother was the late Kathryn Crawford Langford. She was the principal of Brooks Elementary School for many years. Dan Jr. is a current member of the Brooks Town Council. He will be at the Brooks Public Library this Saturday, May 31, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. On Sunday, June 1, he will be at the Brooks United Methodist Church from 12:30-3 p.m. The cost of the hardback book is $30 plus $1.50 in tax.
