Wednesday, May 14, 2003 Lake Overlook now open Brayson Homes has begun marketing homes in Lake Overlook, a neighborhood located on Highpoint Road in Union City. Grand opening in the neighborhood of single-family homes was April 26-27. The community, which has sidewalks and streetlights, is a short drive from Hartsfield Airport, and it is convenient to I-85, I 285 and South Fulton Parkway. The new neighborhood, which has a small lake known as Lake Overlook, will have 45 single-family detached homes. There has already been one closed sale, and six homes have been placed under contract. Lake Overlook has homes priced from $140,000 to $165,250, and the model home in the neighborhood is Brayson Homes' Palmetto plan with a bonus room. Gwinnett-based Brayson Homes, which was founded in 1977, has produced over 7,000 new homes. The company is active in Gwinnett, DeKalb, Cobb, South Fulton, Clayton, Coweta, Newton, and Paulding County markets and will soon be building in Henry and Douglas counties. Brayson Homes is one of only a few of the 13,000 builders in the more than 20-year history of the 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty Program to receive the prestigious Diamond Builder award for quality construction and customer service. The company has earned awards in the prestigious Professionalism Competition sponsored by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and the Sales & Marketing Council.
