Eagle's Brooke wrapping up first phase

Eagle's Brooke Golf & Country Club community, Killearn Properties' family-oriented planned development in the Locust Grove area of Henry County, is already nearing closeout of Phase I, and nearly two-thirds of the second phase has already been pre-sold.

"We started the first homes here last July," said Chris Yager, broker for the Eagle^(1)s Brooke Sales Center, "and in Phase I, which had 48 lots, only five homesites and two builder inventory homes are still available for purchase. Phase II will have 55 homesites, and 35 of these are already sold, under contract or have lot reservations."

Located off Bill Gardner Parkway approximately two miles west of Exit 212 of Interstate 75, Eagle's Brooke Golf & Country Club is the centerpiece of a 1,200-acre planned development offering homes on wooded lots priced from $200,000 to over $650,000, many of them with golf course views.

Builders in the neighborhood include Oxford Custom Homes, Kenny Johnson Homes, RHB Homes, John Christian Homes, Lundstrom Homes, and Don Henry Custom Homes.

The neighborhood features pedestrian-friendly sidewalks on both sides of streets, streetlights, underground utilities, matching designer mailboxes at each residence, play areas, and the security of a private gated neighborhood. Residents will also have access to an 18-hole championship golf course, a par 72, 7,000-yd. long layout, where work commences this year. Work is nearing completion on the development's four and one-half acre water park and recreation center, and amenities will include a large nature preserve, trails, and lighted tennis courts.

Eagle's Brooks is located in the new Luella school district and is a short drive from the Tanger Outlet Center. More information about the neighborhood can be obtained by calling the Eagle's Brooke Sales Center at 770-898-5929.

Killearn Properties began developing communities in the Tallahassee, Fla., area in 1964 with two 4,000-acre master planned communities, Killearn Estates and Killearn Lakes Plantation, which includes Golden Eagle. Since entering the Georgia market, the company has developed Eagle's Landing in Stockbridge, and current projects include Waterfall Country Club at Lake Burton and Kingwood Resort in the North Georgia mountains. In the planning stages is a golf community in Fulton County.
