Wednesday, May 14, 2003 Real estate seminar planned for seniors Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty will hold a free real estate seminar for seniors on two upcoming days later this month. With the objective of identifying and clarifying significant issues and concerns facing the over 55 consumer, the seminar will be held at the Holiday Inn Jonesboro, located at 6288 Old Dixie Hwy. The first session is Tuesday, May 20, from 3-4:30 p.m. on and the second is Thursday, May 22, from 7-8:30 p.m. Walton Gibbs, the Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty Realtor organizing the seminars, encouraged interested persons over 55 to attend one of the sessions. "Around 10,000 people turn 50 every day, so issues concerning aging are real. Our community needs to be better informed on a variety of issues and concerns facing the over 55 consumer. This seminar will provide seniors and their families with important, helpful information on timely topics and possible options," said Gibbs. The professional panelists, all specializing in the needs of seniors, will include John S. Olczak, attorney-at-law, who has expertise in wills, trusts, powers of attorney, Medicaid and longterm planning, estate management, elder law and guardianships; Johnny Dykes, financial services representative with Cendant Mortgage; and Gibbs, who is a senior real estate specialist. Door prizes will include a gift certificate from three local eateries, including Chick-fil-A in Jonesboro, Cracker Barrel in Morrow, and Longhorn Steakhouse in Jonesboro. Reservations for attending the seminar are required, since seating is limited, and can be made by calling 770-477-6400 Ext. 409 or by e-mailing wbgibbs@bellsouth.net.
