Nursery offers tour for 4-H youth Wed. The 4-H Green Team will take a behind-the-scenes tour of the production area of Country Gardens Farm and Nursery Wednesday at 4 p.m. This will be a fun and interesting way for students to learn about plant production and nursery management. This is a beautiful and busy time of year at the nursery. The nursery is stocked with trees, shrubs, and flowers of all kinds. Demonstration gardens are in full bloom and the water garden offers a special attraction filled with acquatic plants and fish. Several greenhouse production areas are on site. Interesting tropical plants, which are protected during the winter months, can be found in the garden center during the growing season. Nursery owners Mike and Judy Cunningham provide inspiring educational tours and sessions for both young and young at heart. Country Gardens is an experience 4-H'ers will not want to miss. Youth ages 9-19 are welcome to join the Green Team at any point in time. There are no registration fees and the club is open to all who are interested. A parent or adult will need to accompany any child who is joining the group for the first time. Contact the Coweta County Extension Service for additional information at 770-254-2620.
