Dumm-Toole
Mr. and Mrs. Tim Dumm of Senoia announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn Elizabeth Dumm, to Justin Richard Toole, son of Richard and Arleen Toole of Fayetteville.
The bride-to-be is a 1999 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2003 graduate of North Georgia College and State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She currently is employed by the Clayton County School District.
The future groom also is a 1999 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2003 graduate of North Georgia College and State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He is a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army and will begin officer training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, in October.
The wedding will be Sept. 27, 2003, at the Hazlehurst House in McDonough.
Hall-Amis
Kristin Michelle Hall, daughter of Wayne and Ingrid Hall of Fayetteville, and Michael Amis, son of Robert and Bernadette Amis, also of Fayetteville, were married May 10, 2003, at The Links Golf Club in Jonesboro. The Rev. John Weber conducted the outdoor ceremony. An inside reception followed.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Sandy Creek High School and a 2002 cum laude graduate of Berry College in Rome, with a B.A. in psychology. She currently is employed by the Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nev.
The groom also is a 1998 graduate of Sandy Creek High School. He currently is employed by Peachtree City Foamcraft in Henderson, Nev.
The maid of honor was the bride’s college roommate, Jennifer Bell. Bridesmaids were Amanda Green and Kimberly Alberts, friends of the bride, and Tammy and Christine Cole, cousins of the groom. The flower girl was Mary Veneziano, cousin of the bride.
The groom’s best man was his father, Robert Amis. Groomsmen were William Smith, Matt Rivers, Art Wilson and Stephen Lyle, all friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Andrew Alberts, friend of the bride.
The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and currently reside in Las Vegas.
Hopkins-Elliott
Robin Dee Hopkins and Thomas H. Elliott Jr. were married May 31, 2003, at Chapel in the Park in Gatlinburg, Tenn. A reception followed with arrangements by the Holiday Inn in Gatlinburg.
The bride is the daughter of Shirley and James Pugh. She was graduated from Greenville High School in Greenville, Ga. and currently is employed by the Kroger Company.
The groom is the son of Thomas and Maureen Elliott, and the grandson of Hobart and Floyce Brigmon of Canton and Howard and Betty Elliott of Fayetteville.
He was graduated from Fayette County High School and attended Griffin Tech. He also is employed by the Kroger Company.
The couple resides in Fayette County.
Marks-Berg
Ashley Marks of Fayetteville and Nathanael Berg of Atlanta were married Friday, June 20, 2003, at the Hollingsworth House in Fayetteville. Pastor Brad Wilcox conducted the 7 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Susan Graham and Ken Marks of Fayetteville, and the granddaughter of Lois and Jim Howell and JoAnn and Raymond Marks, all of Fayetteville. She currently attends Georgia State University where she is pursuing a degree in social work.
The groom is the son of Dan Berg of Decatur and Sharyn Berg of Snellville. He currently is employed as a carpenter, recently completed school, and is pursuing a career as a paramedic.
The maid of honor was Marianne Ratchford, friend of the bride. The bride was attended by six bridesmaids.
The groom’s best man was his brother, Daniel Berg. The groom’s attendants included six groomsmen.
The couple presently resides in Smyrna.
Martin-McDonald
John and Marsha Martin of LaGrange announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Dorothy Deanna Martin of Fayetteville, to Steven Chad McDonald, son of David and Kay McDonald, also of Fayetteville.
The bride-to be is the granddaughter of Dorothy Martin of Athens, and Howard Hayes of Jacksonville, Fla. She is a 2003 graduate of Atlanta Christian College where she received a B.S. in Biblical studies, specializing in Christian ministry with an emphasis in Christian education. She attends Grace Evangelical Church where she is youth leader, and presently is employed with Hoegger Supply.
The future groom is a 2002 graduate of Atlanta Christian College where he received a B.A. in humanities. He also attends Grace Evangelical Church and serves as youth leader. He is currently employed with Frank Cawood and Associates in Peachtree City.
The wedding will be Aug. 9, 2003. Following a honeymoon in St. George Island, Fla., the couple will reside in Fayetteville.
Otwell-Danekes
Marcia Morrow of Fayetteville and Lawrence Otwell, also of Fayetteville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Otwell, to Troy Danekes, son of Chris and Sylvia Danekes of Peachtree City.
The bride-to-be is a 1997 graduate of Fayette County High School. She received her degree in secondary education from the State University of West Georgia in 2001 and currently is a seventh grade geography teacher at J.C. Booth Middle School in Peachtree City.
The groom-elect is a 1996 graduate of McIntosh High School. He currently is a student at the Art Institute of Atlanta pursuing a degree in video productions.
The wedding will be Nov. 8, 2003, at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church.
Tuckfield-Rogers
Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Tuckfield of Russellville, Ark., announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Tuckfield, to Kevin Rogers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rogers of Fayetteville.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Grace Tuckfield of Overland Park, Kan., and the late Richard Tuckfield, and Nancy Kastman-Scott also of Overland Park, and the late Robert Lincoln Scott. She is a 1998 graduate of Russellville High School in Russellville, Ark., and a 2002 graduate of Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark., where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in English.
The future groom is the grandson of Willis and Helen Rogers of Snellville, and John Carlock of Livingston, Tenn., and the late Mary Carlock. He is a 1997 graduate of Landmark Christian School and a 2001 graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in business.
The wedding will be Sept. 6, 2003, at the First Baptist Church in Russellville, Ark. Following the wedding, the couple will reside in Fayetteville.
Vicknair-Murphy
Brenda and Jeff Fambro of Newnan and Brad and Mary Beth Vicknair of Chester, S.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Holly Elise Vicknair, to David Carey Murphy, son of Karey and Johnny Murphy of Luthersville.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Sara and Johnny Morris of Union City, Eva and Irvin Vicknair of Peachtree City, and Ophelia Fambro of Newnan and the late Johnny Fambro. A graduate of Newnan High School, she attends West Georgia Technical College in LaGrange.
The future groom is the grandson of the late Harvey and Eva Kee of Newnan, and Calvin and Imogene Murphy of Luthersville. A graduate of Greenville High School, he is employed by Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse.
The wedding will be Sept. 6, 2003, at 4 p.m., at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Newnan.
