There were over 1,200 people participating in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life at Tiger Stadium at Fayette County High School last Friday night, but inclement weather came right after the survivor walk and the opening ceremonies were completed and put a stop to the rest of the evening's activities.

Several of the events have been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 14. The team and community totals and awards will be presented at 8 p.m. and will be followed by a special luminary ceremony honoring both cancer survivors and those who have lost the battle at 9 p.m.

The community is encouraged to attend ad are asked to seat themselves on the home side of the stands at Tiger Stadium.

Phone Sherri Waynick at the American Cancer Society at 770-460-8920.
