Kindergarteners stage a weddingBy MICHAEL
BOYLAN
To quote Martin Luther, "there is no more lovely, friendly and charming relationship, communion or company than a good marriage." That is most certainly the case with the recent marriage of the letters Q and U at Spring Hill Elementary School. Even before their marriage the two letters were rarely seen apart and then only in words like qintar, which is a form of currency, and qiviut, which is the wool of the undercoat of a musk ox. The kindergarten class of Mrs. Saia invited students at the school and members of the community to bear witness to the wedding. Judge Terry Shell, a juvenile court judge in Fayette County, presided over the ceremony. Mr. Q was escorted by Matthew Melatti and Miss U was escorted by Raegan Chunn. The crowd, filled with every letter in the alphabet, was quiet during the ceremony, which can be described as quick and quite beautiful. Each letter had a card with their favorite word that featured bith Q and U together. Some examples of this are the words quartet, squirrel and quintuplets. Judge Shell asked both of the letters questions about their preparedness to enter the sanctity of marriage. Both Q and U answered "I do." The marriage of Q and U should be a happy and harmonious one. Q will undoubtedly treat U like a queen.
