A plan for RBC Centura Bank at Ga. Highway 314 and Beckett Lane was one of the few developments to get approval from the Fayetteville Planning and Zoning Commission at its regular meeting Tuesday night.

A number of other development plans were tabled by the commission. The plans were tabled to allow the developers to have more time to fine-tune various aspects of each, said Jahnee Prince, the city's director of planning and zoning.

Access to RBC Centura Bank will be provided on Beckett Lane and Burnside Drive, and the parking lot will have 43 spaces, according to city documents. The bank will also have a drive-through area with three kiosks and an ATM.

The 1.54 acre site is zoned office-institutional and is located in the Argonne Forest office park.

The plans tabled by the commission included the McDonald's on Ga. Highway 85 south, the O'Charley's restaurant near the Fayette Pavilion on Hwy. 85 north, Main Street Promenade on north Glynn Street near Merlin Muffler and a sports instructional facility on Robinson Road.

Also tabled was the plan for a new location of the Fayette Daily News at the former site of Pike Nurseries on Jeff Davis Place.
