Emory recognizes top local students

The following local residents were named to the Dean's List of Emory College, the undergraduate, liberal arts college of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia for the 2002 Fall Semester.

Stephanie Greenlea of Fayetteville, daughter of Charles W Greenlea Jr. and Sandra P Greenlea.

Bartosz Solowiej of Newnan, son of Mr. Mrs. Tadeusz M Solowiej.

Joseph Flack of Sharpsburg, son of Rev. William Martin Flack and Marilyn Ruth Shiltz.

Queen Wahiwe of Fayetteville, daughter of Emmanuel Chinedy Wahiwe and Comfort Nwanyinna Wahiwe.

Chang Wu of Fayetteville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cheng Yui Wu.

Gina Atwater of Fayetteville, daughter of Smith Atwater and Merrian Atwater.

Students must be in the top 20 percent of Emory College or have approximately a 3.8 GPA or higher to be named to the Dean's List.

The following local residents were named to the Honor List of Oxford College, the two-year liberal arts division of Emory University located in Oxford, Georgia, for the 2002 Fall Semester.

Nicole Gillen of Fairburn, daughter of Edward A. Gillen and Linda Renee Gillen.

Zoeb Abdulla of Fayetteville, son of Nadir Abdulla and Firoza Abdulla.

Christine Charaf of Peachtree City, daughter of Anthony Naim Charaf and Samira Charaf.

Yosuke Nomura of Peachtree City, son of Mitsuhiro Nomura and Noviko Nomura.

Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher to be named to the Honor List.

The following local residents were named to the Merit List of Oxford College, the two-year liberal arts division of Emory University located in Oxford, Georgia, for the 2002 Fall Semester.

Shijuade Kadree of Fairburn, daughter of Dr Adegboyega-J Kadree and Dr Margaret A Kadree.

Allison Cheatham of Peachtree City, daughter of John Michael Cheatham and Deborah Lynn Cheatham.

Chelsea Hartt of Peachtree City, daughter of Thomas Robert Hartt and Annmarie Martin Hartt.

Students must earn a grade point average of 3 or higher during the previous semester to be named to the Merit List.
