Landmark leadership for the future
Landmark Christian School's board of directors is pleased to announce that Landmark has a new Headmaster. Matt Skinner will take the reigns in this new position April 14. The board began with a review of 48 candidates. After the field was narrowed to eight, the candidates went through several interviews. One interview focused on character and spiritual issues, another on academics and social issues, and a final interview team explored the topic of leadership. After the interviews, Skinner was the clear front-runner and the board voted unanimously to extend him the offer to lead the school. Skinner has served previously as a headmaster of a Christian school for 6 years. While in that role, he also taught General Math, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Pre-calculus, Calculus and Bible. Skinner has a master's degree in educational leadership and the spiritual gifts of teaching and leadership. Skinner is a trained Certified Public Accountant and owned his own CPA firm for 7 years. Skinner is also an athlete - he played one year of professional baseball in the minor league organization for the Baltimore Orioles. Skinner comes to Landmark after serving as the executive pastor at Braelinn Church in Peachtree City for the past year. Matt Skinner and his wife, Tracy, have three children who attend Landmark Christian School. Next year they will have one student in lower school, one in middle school, and one attending the upper school. Landmark celebrates God sending a man of Skinner's integrity, spirit, and experience with the scripture from Ephesians 3:20, "God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine." Skinner joins Landmark Christian as they continue to pursue the goal of their vision statement, "Every student prepared to impact the world for Jesus Christ!"
