Keep Coweta Beautiful Day April 19

Keep America Beautiful's Great American Cleanup is the country's largest annual community improvement program. This year marks Keep America Beautiful's 50th Anniversary and the 25th anniversary of Keep Georgia Beautiful.

Coweta County has been a long-time partner in the cleanup. Coweta County employees will take part in Keep Coweta Beautiful Day April 19. Commissioners will be taking part as well and encourage citizens to join in the effort to make Coweta as beautiful as possible for everyone's enjoyment.

If an individual, business, civic club, church or social group wants to be in on the action, contact the Coweta County Environmental Management Office at 770-254-3785 so that arrangements can be made.

And it's not just about picking up trash; activities can include renovating playgrounds, cleaning up waterways, picking up litter, planting trees, beautifying parks, graffiti removal and building restoration, and conducting recycling collections to name a few.

If April 19 will not work into your calendar, you can still get in on the event that makes everyone feel better because you can participate anytime during the month of April. Just contact Coweta County Environmental Management at 770-254-3785 to set up your participation.
