Another way to support troops

For Americans who are wondering just how to express their support of the mobilized troops, a practical, affordable solution exists.

"For as little as $15, just enough to cover our costs, each American can personally touch the life of a soldier," stated Sandra Lowe, founder.

Donations from individuals and companies across the United States resulted in 6,000 care packages being delivered during the 2002 holiday season.

"America, we are at war," said co-founder and partner Chad Rauthe. "We can all directly impact the morale of our troops in this simple way - by sending a simple care package. A care package is more than a box of goodies. It is the heart and soul of America boxed up for soldiers to see firsthand they are appreciated. At this critical time, Americans cannot take a back seat and let our sons and daughters, and mothers and fathers fight this war alone. Everyone can show their support by helping us reach the troops with personal care packages."

People interested in making donations can visit the organization's Web site at www.loveourtroops.org.
