2 arrested for shooting signs in PTC

Two men were arrested last Thursday after they shot at several traffic signs on Ga. Highway 54 West in Peachtree City, police said.

Joseph Bates, 23, of Athens and Jacob Marullo, 23, of Peachtree City were charged with reckless conduct, discharging a gun on a public street, discharging a gun while under the influence of alcohol and interference with government property. Marullo was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to warrants for their arrest, Bates and Marullo fired three rounds from a Glock 9 mm pistol at a sign on Hwy. 54 near Huddleston Drive and another two rounds at a sign on Hwy. 54 near Planterra Way.
