United Way seeks outstanding volunteers
Volunteers plant the seeds of the future. To recognize those volunteers, United Way in Fayette County is asking for nominations from local agencies for the volunteer recognition program. Awards for the adult volunteer of the year and the teen volunteer of the year will be given at the annual recognition luncheon in May. Local committee chair Jason Thompson said, "It is particularly important to recognize the generosity of these volunteers. They are the most giving of people. And it is important to recognize young people who see needs in their community and step out in leadership to meet those needs."
