Owners of Shadows to run restaurant at tennis center By MICHAEL BOYLAN
If you are a fan of the breakfast at Shadows, you will soon be able to order off that same menu at the Peachtree City Tennis Center. The Ashland Grille, the restaurant at the tennis center, is expected to open around the first of April. It will be operated by Mike Bradshaw and Gina Smith of Shadows. Bradshaw (no relation to Scott Bradshaw, vice chairman of the Development Authority of Peachtree City) and Smith attended Monday evening's Development Authority meeting as the final draft of the contract for a one-year lease was discussed. The Ashland Grille is unique since it is not located in a shopping area and may carry with it the presumption of being a private club. There is a captive audience of sorts, though, as members of the tennis center and visitors to their many functions will be the majority of the restaurant's clientele. The team from Shadows will offer the exact same breakfast menu and a similar, though smaller, lunch menu. The Ashland Grille will match the operating hours of the tennis center and will have a beer and wine license. Bradshaw plans to use some of his staff from Shadows at his new restaurant. All involved parties seemed excited at Monday's meeting and were expected to sign the contract later this week.
