War descendants sought

By CAROLYN CARY

Any child between the ages of 5 to 17 that is a descendant of a Confederate soldier, sailor, or marine, who served honorably during the War Between The States is requested to contact the General Lafayette McLaws Camp, Sons of Confederate Veterans.

As a part of its observance of Confederate Memorial Day April 26, the program will include a flag parade in which children will be carrying the flag that represents the state their ancestor served. In the event that a state has more than one entry, a name will be drawn and the winner will have the honor of carrying the flag. All others will be listed in the program and will escort the flag.

For information call Scott at 770-716-5344 or e-mail skgbama@aol.com.
